Sephora by OPI – Glee collection

Sephora by OPI

Today, Krystal and I went to the mall and we stopped by Sephora. They had their new Glee collection out and some of the colors are really pretty, so I swatched them. (Note: I do not watch Glee, so these cutesy names are totally lost on me.)

From thumb to pinky (descriptions are from Sephora’s website): Miss Bossy Pants (opaque opalescent rich raspberry), Sue vs. Shue (navy blue, exclusive to the Glee Mini Kit), Mash Up (opaque opalescent gray), Who Let the Dorks Out? (opaque metallic peacock green), Gleek Out (sheer lime with fine gold glitter)

My two favorites are Mash Up and Who Let the Dorks Out?. Mash Up is a chameleon color; it’s described as gray, but it’s also light purple-y pink with a hint of a green shift in the sun. It’s so, so pretty! They didn’t have any in stock, otherwise I probably would’ve bought it.

Sephora by OPI Polish

Who Let the Dorks Out? is a bright green that really POPS in the sunlight. It reminds me of Sephora by OPI’s Mermaid to Order, but more shimmer than metallic and a touch more blue.

Then, we went to Hino Hairstyles because I heard from a co-worker that they had the new OPI Katy Perry collection (along with the black crackle polish). Well, they did have the collection, but not the crackle polish… but right next to the display was China Glaze’s crackle polishes! They also had more than just black: pink, seafoam green and white. I picked up a bottle of the black (Black Mesh) and when I got home I painted over the Glee swatches.

Pretty, no? Sue vs. Shue is too dark to be able to see it through the black crackle, but the other colors look great! Miss Bossy Pants was just okay by itself (it reminds me of watermelon Jolly Ranchers), but under the black crackle, it looks badass. However, Who Let the Dorks Out? looks absolutely amazing here. Look at it POP!

I actually just removed a manicure I had done earlier (Sephora by OPI’s Teal We Meet Again with both ring fingers done with an accent color in Sephora by OPI’s Sample Sale). My nails are getting long (I can’t stand long nails. I know they don’t look that long in the pictures but they’re really too long and I’m having issues typing), but I’m going to keep this on for a few days. It’s only on my left hand, too. Haha.
