Always toothbrush after having a meal, a meal contains lots of ingredients that cause stains and yellowish color on teeth.
Brushing twice a day is a very necessary step to make your teeth clean one is after waking up and the other is before going to the bed, if you don’t brush at night the last meal containing all ingredients responsible for staining will stay in your mouth for almost 8-12 hours which is absolutely not good for your teeth.
Some of the medications have side effects in shape of discoloration or stains on your teeth, consult your physician.

Some of the foods cause the stains or discoloration of teeth, try to avoid it completely, and lesser intake or at least toothbrush after having these foods

 

Caffeine

Avoid excessive intake of Tea or Coffee or any other drink that contains caffeine as a major ingredient. As tea and coffee contains caffeine and other harmful chemicals they are harmful not only for teeth but for the body as well. It causes the discoloration and stains.

 

Tobacco

Tobacco is also harmful for teeth. Avoid smoking cigarettes, sheesha, cigar or any kind of thing which contains tobacco as a major ingredient. It’s also harmful for your skin and overall health

 

Alcohol

Avoid alcohol as this has the same effects and harmful for the teeth as well as overall health. Alcohol contains lots of calories which may result in putting on extra weight.

 

Soy Sauce Curry & turmeric Powder

These all contains yellow, brown and red color which causes stains and makes the teeth yellow.

 

Berries/ Red Grapes

Berries and red grapes also cause the staining, as they are good for health don’t stop eating them. Tooth brush after that or chew a sugarless gum.

 

Cure for stains

Keep your Mouth clean by Toothbrush and Mouthwash

Make a habit of tooth brushing at least twice a day and use mouth wash thrice a week, as it kills germs, bacteria and other things cause stains.

 

Sugarless Chewing gum

sugarless chewing gum is another option if you don’t have time for brushing your teeth. Carry a chewing gum with you always as it also gives refreshing breath

 

Stain Removal Toothpaste

There are many toothpaste available in the market with this quality however don’t make a routine of this toothpaste, use other toothpaste also.

 

Consult a Dentist

If your stains are so rigid and they are not removed from remedies and tooth paste, consult a doctor you might need scaling, polishing or a cosmetic cleaning to your teeth

 

Pills, Capsules and Chews

Chews, capsules and pills are also available in the market for the protection of teeth, but they won’t help you if you don’t try to avoid taking meals containing harmful ingredients

 

Suggestions:

  • Avoid application of chlorine at home.
  • Don’t brush your teeth with baking soda they have more side effects and can increase your stains.
  • Floss your teeth after having a meal to clean up the edges of teeth.
  • Follow the brushing techniques which will help you in cleaning the teeth more effectively.
  • At least rinse your mouth after drinking tea, coffee or drink with caffeine.
  • Use toothpaste that contains fluoride.
  • Make a habit of using antibacterial mouthwash.
