When I first heard that Nicki Minaj would be doing another MAC lipstick, I was thrilled. I missed out on Pink Friday, but honestly wasn't all that disappointed because the color seemed very dupeable and the packaging wasn't anything special. But THIS? This I haaad to have.

Viva Glam Nicki is a bright yellow pink with a satin finish, and is packed with pigment. I did have a bit of an issue with it highlighting the dryness of my lips, but I honestly don't have many lipsticks that don't highlight that particular problem. Winter is a bitch, eh? Anyway, the color is bright, but definitely not the most terrifying in my collection. I did a few comparison swatches and I don't own anything like this. The closest is maybe Beauté lip stain in Flouron, which is darker and more neon in my opinion. I don't have any full FOTD photos yet, but look for a post featuring this pretty in the future! So far it's love at first swatch, so I can't wait to wear it out!
Will you be picking up Viva Glam Nicki? I'm also interested to hear how you feel about Viva Glam Ricky. Personally, I wish they would have made the lip conditioner in stick form and put it in the same packaging as the rest of the Viva Glam lippies.

ReplyDeleteMe too! I think MAC did such a good job of making a shade that was totally Nicki Minaj but also wearable for those of us who can't quite pull off lime green leopard spotted hair. xD

I can't wait to get this <3 Ever since I realized I have NO time last Fall, my go-to makeup looks have been nearly no makeup except for a statement lipstick so I still feel like a girl haha. I wish they'd made the lip conditioner as a stick with the same packaging, too! That would've been brilliant and I probably would have bought it whereas I don't plan on getting the tube. I'm going to have to compare this to my neon-like shades... it's reminding me of Countessa Fluorescent from LimeCrime right now :D
ReplyDeleteNo problem! Oh gosh, I'm the same exact way. I've even been keeping my bolder lip colors in my bag so I can just slap one on in the car. xD I'd love to see a comparison post from you! I don't have many yellow-based pinks so I didn't have much to compare this one with. =)

I also picked this up and I love it way more than Pink Friday. Pink Friday on it's own is unwearable for me! You can rock this shade girl!
