Inglot Crazy, the Sequel. Swatches and a FOTD.

From the moment I opened my first Inglot palette (see blog post here), I knew it wouldn’t be my last. The shadows are smooth, buttery, and extremely pigmented, not to mention a great deal compared to MAC and many other brands. I managed to hold out on my next Inglot purchase for a couple of months, but two weeks ago I found myself once again picking out a beautiful new palette.

My first palette is gorgeous, but the colors are a little more safe and subdued. When I was putting together this palette I was craving bright pops of color, so I went a little outside of my comfort zone with many of these shades. A few of these are matte, which is a finish I didn’t think I liked. Turns out I just don’t like MAC’s matte finish, because Inglot’s matte shadows are much easier to work with.

The day after my palette arrived it was sunny and warm outside, which inspired me to play around with the two aqua/teal shades in the palette to create a beachy summy look.

For a summery look, I blended 372M (matte teal) in the crease and then added a wash over the lid and crease with 24AMC (pale aqua). I blended above the crease with Urban Decay Verve and lined the lower lash line with MAC Gilded White pencil. I topped it all off with Diorshow Maximizer and Covergirl Lashblast Fusion waterproof mascara.
For my face, I’ve been keeping it simple lately. I apply a little concealer where needed, as well as my Garnier anti-dark circle roller. Then I apply Origins VitiZing and cover any remaining redness with Covergirl AquaSmooth foundation. I use the MAC Pink Power MSF for bronzing/contouring, blush, and highlighting. I always use MAC Cork eyeshadow on my brows as well. I finish with a generous spray of Evian Facial Mist.

The effect is subtle, but who wants to look over-the-top at the beach? I finished off the look with Revlon Super Lustrous lipgloss in Peach Petal.

What’s your favorite Inglot shadow? I’m always looking for suggestions because I’m sure this won’t be my last palette! Do you have any go-to summery beach looks?
